Dr. Sarah Gosselin PT, DPT, CSCS

I am a physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. I grew up dancing, and graduated from James Madison University (JMU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. I then attended Shenandoah University, graduating with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since that time, my focus has been to combine my two passions of dance and physical therapy, by providing specialized treatment and education for dancers. I obtained further dance medicine specific training through Westside Dance Physical Therapy’s dance medicine practicum and am an active member with the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science and Doctors for Dancers.

I have returned to my alma mater to work closely with the JMU Dance department. As an adjunct faculty member, I educate students on anatomy, injury prevention, and conditioning. I also provide injury screens to the first-year students.

I have continued to remain active within the performing arts community as a performer, choreographer, and educator. After graduating from James Madison University, I performed with smaller dance companies in both Washington DC and North Carolina. More recently, I assisted in running the local non-profit Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative where I served as the treasurer from 2016 to 2021.
